About
With a decade of experience in the field, I have honed my skills in both the private sector, where I worked with prominent Australian companies, as well as State and Federal Governments. My expertise lies in utilising the Adobe suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, where I consider myself advanced.
During my time at Aimia, a global data-driven loyalty marketing specialist, I serviced accounts for renowned brands such as CBA, NAB, Velocity, ANZ, and Optus. As a part of the studio team, I collaborated on a variety of projects, including BAU work such as monthly website brand refreshes, eDM content design, and quarterly rewards catalogues. I also handled Ad Hoc tasks, such as designing bespoke customer journey infographics, Christmas rewards catalogues, and direct mail pieces. This experience equipped me with the ability to navigate diverse design challenges and tailor solutions to meet specific client needs.
Subsequently, at Tourism Australia’s in-house studio team, I engaged in multifaceted design work, ranging from the successful 2018 Dundee campaign to domestic and international trade shows, internal and external reports, and luxury travel collateral across print and digital platforms. My exposure to large-scale events and consistent design implementation across various pieces significantly expanded my skill set.
In my most recent role as a Graphic Designer within the Marketing Communications team at Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA), I had the privilege of working on projects that showcased the unique experiences and events of Sydney Olympic Park. This hands-on experience allowed me to witness firsthand how visitors interacted with my designs in the park, informing continuous adaptations for optimal impact. Working on a variety of briefs from different SOPA stakeholders, I contributed to projects such as birdwatching guides, Lunar New Year event collateral, and directional signage for sports venues.
My experience in Federal and State Government roles has heightened my awareness of incorporating inclusivity into design, evident in considerations such as color use, formatting, and typography. Additionally, my training in accessible document creation between 2021 and 2022 aligns with the evolving standards of inclusivity.
Outside of my past full-time positions, I engage in freelance work. This diverse portfolio includes annual reports, digital banners, ongoing brand development, logo design, product packaging design, infographics, and presentations for clients such as Edible Play Co, INK. Recruitment, Young Wisdom, Arludo, Allworths, Ipswich Jets, and Metamorph Marketing.
I am a firm believer in the power of teamwork and collaboration to transform ideas into exceptional outcomes. My key strengths lay in understanding clients’ needs intuitively, effective visual communication, creative problem-solving, resilience to constructive criticism, and a genuine passion for creativity and design.
