Lunar New Year 2021

The Place Management team at Sydney Olympic Park Authority organised a Lunar New Year event for the Year of the Ox. Seeking assistance from the Marketing team, they tasked me with developing the event's look and feel, along with creating the marketing plan. The only specific directive was to incorporate the 'O' from the logo into the event name, which then became the focal point of the signage and props used at the event. I produced a range of printed and digital collateral, including flyers, coreflute signage, posters, social media assets, and digital wayfinding kiosks.

The primary goal was to engage the local community at Sydney Olympic Park, encompassing both residents and workers, and to attract more people to the park.

Sydney Olympic Park: Anniversary 5K run

As part of the commemoration of the 20 years since the Sydney 2000 Olympic & Paralympic Games, an exclusive fun run was organised for all participants, providing an opportunity to relive the excitement. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this virtual race allows participants to complete the run at their own pace, either on-site or remotely. I designed a logo that incorporated the iconic 'blue line' used in the 2000 games for the Olympic marathon, along with floor decals marking the route and a map utilising vectors of well-known locations around the park. Together, these elements established the distinctive look and feel for the Anniversary 5K run.

This event was conceived to enable everyone to partake in a virtual race, facilitating participation and providing on-site direction amid the ongoing COVID restrictions.

Sydney Olympic Park: Christmas in the Square, 2019

The Place Management team at Sydney Olympic Park Authority organised 'Christmas in the Square,' a Christmas-themed event leading up to the festive season. As a member of the marketing team, I took the lead in crafting the event's look and feel. This encompassed designing street banners, diverse posters, blade signs, crowd control block covers, and projection box skins.

The aim of the event was to foster a sense of community among the residents of Sydney Olympic Park and attract more people from the surrounding suburbs to the precinct.

Sydney Olympic Park: Art Express, 2020

Sydney Olympic Park is among the select venues that annually showcase the Art Express exhibition. I designed a range of collateral to enhance the event experience in the Newington Armory area. This involved the creation of diverse outdoor signage, floor decals, and entrance signage within the gallery, all aimed at establishing a thematic connection for this specialised event unique to Sydney Olympic Park.

Tourism Australia: PURE Life Experiences, Marrakech

St. Ali was sponsored by Tourism Australia to showcase Australian coffee culture at an international luxury trade show. I was tasked with designing the booth fit-out for the St. Ali cafe. This involved creating back walls, front panels, and a menu to authentically replicate the ambiance of an Australian cafe.

Tourism Australia: Corroboree Asia 2018, Gold Coast

A significant aspect of daily tasks at Tourism Australia involved generating assets for annual Trade and Business events, with ‘Corroboree Asia’ being one such trade event. I developed a range of collateral, including posters/signage, booth fit-outs, name badges, media walls, rigged cubes, and booklets. The objective was to establish an identity for the trade show and accentuate Tourism Australia's presence.

Tourism Australia: G’Day USA 2019 - Media Event

I designed a booklet in a script style to convey information for the Media event at G'Day USA 2019. The idea behind adopting a script format was to build on the success of the Dundee Campaign launched during the 2018 American Super Bowl. Targeting the American market, the US team believed that presenting a 'pretend script' would resonate well with attendees and establish a strong connection.
