Sydney Olympic Park: What's on poster redesign
Sydney Olympic Park utilises poster boxes and digital kiosks throughout the park for marketing, informational, and directional purposes. The previous iteration of the ‘What’s On’ design had been in use for several years, and there was a sense that the style was becoming outdated, leaving room for a fresh template. This redesigned version offers flexibility and freedom, allowing for a unique design each month while providing a clear overview of upcoming events in the park.
The concept involves highlighting an image from an event during the month and applying an effect to transform it into a new and dynamic appearance, adding movement and excitement. These posters are strategically placed not only within the park but also in various areas outside, aiming to make the design stand out among other posters.
Sport lives here - Street pole banners
Marking the return of sports to the park post the COVID outbreak, which led to numerous cancellations affecting the teams that play there. Leveraging the street pole banners scattered across the precinct, the design showcases a variety of sports and includes both male and female teams.
The aim is to instill excitement for sports and the participating teams, with sporting events constituting a significant portion of the overall events in the precinct. Celebrating the home teams felt like a fitting and natural way to highlight the resurgence of sports activities.
Sydney Olympic Park: Community Notices
In light of the COVID-19 crisis, Sydney Olympic Park responded promptly by distributing community notices throughout the park for its residents. This initiative encompassed the creation of posters and neighbor check-in cards.
The design aimed to convey a friendlier tone, with the intention of minimizing fear surrounding the crisis. Additionally, it reinforced the messaging provided by the federal and state governments.
Sydney Olympic Park, Christmas Banners
In a past Christmas season at Sydney Olympic Park, the precinct sought new street pole banners to capture the festive spirit. I devised a concept that seamlessly integrated the Sydney Olympic Park brand with the Christmas theme. Sydney Olympic Park has a straightforward brand utilising distinctive elements— an 'O' that serves as a key identifier. These banners adorned various locations throughout the park for approximately six weeks leading up to Christmas.
Various Social event posters
Diverse posters were crafted for internal social events aimed at fostering camaraderie and providing a source of enjoyment for colleagues. The absence of a specific brand requirement allowed for creative freedom without constraints. These posters played a role in boosting morale within the office, creating opportunities for staff to mingle and build connections in a casual setting.
